Gujarati Cooking Workshop

Flavours of Gujarat ...in your Kitchen!
Gujarati Cooking Workshop
Sat, 8 Feb

Gujarati Food symbolizes the Navras or the nine flavours of life, which make it beautiful with its various rang, roop and swaad creating an incredible palette.

The traditional Gujarati food is primarily vegetarian with high nutritional value. The dishes are not very spicy and many of them are distinctively sweet & salty at the same time. The cuisine is delightfully delicious with a combination of leafy vegetables and pulses subtly flavoured to the accompaniment of rice and a variety of breads. The cuisine is also distinctive in its wide variety of farsan (side dishes) that complement the main meal e.g. Dhokla, Khandvi etc.

In short, Gujarati meal is a great deal more than the ordinary rotli, daal, bhaat ane shaak!

life can be amazing even after tragedy

Through her personal tragic story of losing her 15 years old daughter Abigail in a car accident, Nicola helps others in facing grief. She embraces her own healing journey and uses it to show others that life can be amazing even after tragedy.

Working through group discussions, guided meditations, visualizations and movements participants will calmly face their own challenges and in a safe environment will be able to release any anger, tears of emotion and hidden pain they have been holding onto.

By clearing those untouched emotions, each will be able to once again embrace life fully and begin their process of healing.
