About Ashok:
Ashok Kochhar started as a painter in his early years before discovering the magic of photography. He started his photographic journey as an industrial and creative photographer in the late eighties. In over two decades, Kochhar A. has worked for almost all the big industrial houses in India.
Ashok Kochhar started as a painter in his early years before discovering the magic of photography. He started his photographic journey as an industrial and creative photographer in the late eighties. In over two decades, Kochhar A. has worked for almost all the big industrial houses in India.
In
2000, he created a state of the art design studio. Helped by a background in
engineering; Kochhar A. designs his own signature lighting. The same year, he
ventured into another realm of visual art i.e. furniture/ interior design.
An
ace photographer, Kochhar A is also considered by many to be a creative
visualist par excellence. In 2002, he held a solo exhibition of path
breaking furniture design among many other projects. In 2009, Kochhar A once
again succumbed to his love of photography and returned to its full time.
The
next year, he pioneered what he refers to as ‘Spiritual Art Photography’. Taking
his concept forward, in the year 2010 Kochhar A held a series of three
exhibitions at Delhi and Mumbai to an exceptional response. From painter to
photographer, photographer to graphic designer, graphic designer to life style
designer and again back to photography.
