Creative Movement Therapy
In therapeutic dance and movement, free style techniques are used to unlock our bodies’ capacity to communicate
and express better. The discipline is non-judgmental and adapts itself
to a wide variety of body types and personalities. It unchains people
from habitual movement patterns and helps them discover a new, dynamic body language.
This 60 hour training program consists of fun filled movement activities using music, props, body preparatory
exercises, energizers, icebreakers and cool down routines interspersed with verbal dialogue.
Taking
part in individual, partnership and group activities participants will
enhance their self-awareness and social skills. The movements will also
help release physical and mental stress and increase self-confidence
along with emotional expression and leadership qualities. This program
is useful for dancers, special educators, teachers, therapists and social workers.
The course content will consist of -
1) Creative movement therapy theory and history
2) Practicum
3) Basic counselling and therapy skills
This
therapy can be used for work in rehabilitation & treatment centres,
