Knocking has ceased. The moment is ripe. The door, opens. The path is drunken. Method, celebration.

This monsoon, we have invited Nirupam and Damini for a unique Sufi jugalbandi at Zorba.  A special three day Sufiyana Intensive. Combining the dynamics of tradition and with contemporary techniques. Sufi qaul from South Asia flowing with the techniques of Zikr from the Middle East. The feminine and masculine aspects of the path, meeting, merging. The techniques of Ibadat, meet the fragrance of Ishq. Creating the Sama, the state of ecstatic union.

What to expect : Nirupam will be leading you into the depths of remembrance through Zikr and a special session of Sufi healing. Damini will be guiding you into the heights of ecstasy through Sama, a cocktail of handpicked Sufi stories, music and mystical sounds. And, of course, there will be Sufiyana dancing, plus. They have designed the intensive to include contemporary Sufi methods from the world of Osho. There will be an initiation into techniques that can be carried back home.

What is the motive : An invitation into the Sufi esoteric path in a simple, easy, contemporary manner. With techniques that can be practised in your daily life. For - as the wise Sufis have said - only a desperation of thirst, combined with a sincerity of practise, can make that moment arrive ... when the door, opens. And the real celebration, Jashn-e-Sufi, begins.


Prabhu Damini



Sufis walk around in deceptive guises. Singing songs, telling stories, dancing with life. Damini dons the Sufi attire. Modern. Tech-savvy. Cinematographer, editor, sound designer, journalist. Nirupam



An Osho sanyasin, Nirupam has been on the Sufi path of meditation for the last 25 years. He has been trained in Gurdjieff Sacred Dances, Awareness Intensive, Osho Holistic Massage and Reiki.  For the last ten years he has been sharing his experience with people around the world facilitating Sufi Whirling, Zikr, Gurdjieff Sacred Dances and Awareness Intensives - a process of self-enquiry.
