Entering absolute darkness is like entering the womb, where we let go of activities and stimulations of daily life to rest in deep peace from where we emerged. Time stops and a sense of timelessness takes over… the separation of ‘you’ and ‘me,’ of ‘I’ and the ‘other’… dissolves. We feel one with ourselves and the whole of existence.

Also, since eighty per cent of our energy is lost through the eyes, darkness gives an opportunity for the energy to move within. The inner eyes of wisdom open up… bringing tremendous peace and joy. There is total unity and absolute bliss to be experienced!

Shashi Solluna is an International Facilitator for Tao Tantric Arts having trained in Neo Tantra, Classical Tantra and Taoist Sexual Arts. As a resident at Mantak Chia's centre, Tao Garden, she co-authored a book with him, and also worked at running retreats, workshops, festivals, classes and managed a healing centre.  Shashi teaches Qigong, Breathwork, Nutrition, Healing and Sexual Practices, apart from being a Film-maker of "Sex to Spirit" documentary, and the founder of LiveTantra.com, an online platform.
