Sacred Music Festival
Folk music from the world of Bauls, Faqirs and Sufis

Unravel the mysteries surrounding the Bauls, Faqirs and Sufis, in a three day  festival of folk music and celebration. These baithaks will allow you to have a blissful communion with their world of music, as this is a gathering for a select few. Come sing and dance with them, as they express their joy for sacred music.

13th November (Thursday):
 Madhusudan, the "Baul Badshah",  is known to be possessed by holy madness as he sings and creates music which is a celebration of the divine. He, with his group, will take us into a musical journey infused with tantric teachings and wisdom from day-to-day life.

14th November (Friday):
Mystic faqirs- Sadhan Darvesh, Halim Faqir, Chand Bibi and group will help us merge with the beloved within by creating a musical ecstasy through remembrance of the beloved, and spreading the fragrance of love.

15th November (Saturday):
 Mame Khan is a name to reckon with in the world of Sufi and Manganiyar folk music.  In this festival he will sing songs from Sufi poets of Sindh and Rajasthan, including Mira Bai, Kabir, Lal Shahbâz Qalandar, Bulleh Shah and Baba Ghulam Farid with élan and joy. Soulful Kathak Dance by Astha Dixit- as she performs to the voice of Mame Khan.

Dinner at 7.30 pm, followed by Baithak from 8.30 pm to 10 pm
Cuisines- Bengali, Rajasthani/Gujrati and Middle Eastern
