Prayer in Motion
sufi dance and meditation
- Sufi dance in 4 directions
- Zikhr (Sufi meditation)
- Breathing, grounding and centering
- Dervish Whirling
The workshop starts with a thorough preparation.
The Sufi dances require concentration and enforce our sensation of belonging.
The collective rhythm holds us and invites us to surrender little by little.
The collective rhythm holds us and invites us to surrender little by little.
Elements of Zikhr (Sufi
meditation) allow us to taste the vital energy flowing through us, which
contains both the force of fire and the subtlety of breath.
The Dervish whirling invites prayer, transcending the I to come in union with the Divine.
The dance opens for a spiritual experience embedded in universal love; the repetitive whirling taking us into ecstasy.
The workshop is led by Aya Annika Skattum. She leads Dervish workshops in France and Scandinavian countries.
For the first time in India, she is very happy to share her passion.
