A Musical Evening of Celebration with Baul Mystics
Come let us take an extraordinary spiritual journey of ananda and prem with Baul mystics. Led by mystic Sadhan Darvesh, his Japanese disciples, and accompanied by minstrels Madhusudan and Jayanti, the group will take us into a musical meditation to worship the divine.
“Baul” in Bengali means mad or possessed and their music is a celebration of holy madness. Infused with tantric teachings and wisdom from day-to-day life, Baul songs are subversive, seductive, and cheerful. The messages in their songs are guaranteed to touch our souls!
You are welcome to sing and dance along with the performance.

The group of Baul mystics, led by Sadhan Darvesh, includes Gosai Ma (Maki Kazumi), Saraswati Ma (Kanako Shimizu), Subbhra Ma (Kazumi Fukazawa), Suruti Ma (Shoko Nishimura), Madhusudan and Jayanti
Sufi performance by artists Satyakaman Gupta, Paragini Amin and Waleed Zaiter
Program Details:
7 PM– The evening will open with a Sufi performance by Satya, Paragini and Waleed
8.30 PM – Optional dinner with subsidized contribution
**Participation is free of cost but prior registration is mandatory. Donation to artists is welcome.
