Compassionate Communication

Compassionate Communication

Creating a world where we can express genuinely while holding care for other people, in a language devoid of any blame or shame!

In the 'No Blame Game’, the idea is to not take offence and try to see the intentions of the person. We maintain our inner peace through a loving, compassionate and a non-judgemental attitude. This provides a new perspective in relationships.

NVC gives a deeper understanding of the humanness of each person, it creates a feeling of acceptance for every human being.

Some Possible Learnings from the workshop:
1. To express gratitude and appreciations that touches people’s hearts.
2. Increases your ability to have inner peace even in  times of conflict.
3. To engage meaningfully with people in difficult situations.
4. To get out of the stories of victimhood and enemy images of others and be self connected and empowered.

About the Facilitator:

Shammi Nanda Small

SHAMMI NANDA:
He has been a documentary film-maker since 1994 who studied at the Film Institute Of India, Pune. He gradually moved to self-healing. Now, for the past five years, has been travelling extensively in India and abroad, bringing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to individuals and communities. In his extensive work with alternative communities spanning more than a decade, he came across a lot of pain caused by disconnects in such communities, causing people to lose heart and leave. He believes that disconnects happen because we lack ways of communicating which allow for listening deeply to others’ needs and expressing our own in an honest and caring manner.
