Tantra-Yoga: Going Beyond the Body To the Core Energy

Introduction into Tantra-Yoga

Introduction into Tantra-Yoga copy (2)

The west has reduced yoga to a purely physical discipline, the truth is- it is not. The physical results are just the by-products of the yogic practice. This workshop goes beyond anatomy and biology, without neglecting them. The effects of karma (law of cause and effect) and dharma (rules of conduct) will be seen in a completely different light by applying the tantric angle. Here, you will actually learn how to feel energy.

Tantric yoga  basically
applies the same techniques as other forms of yoga but incorporates very specific differences.   These differences concern the order of the exercises, a somewhat different use of the breath concerning bandhas & pranayama’s and the combination of several basic techniques resulting into more complex structures.

The day will start with an elaborate hatha yoga session. The asanas will be done combined with mantras (chanting). We will explore the tantric use of bandhas, mudras, kriyas and dhautis. The afternoon  will consist of lectures and meditation exercises (alternating). The day will be completed with yoga nidra (deep relaxation or yogic sleep). In the evening the facilitator will be available for personal questions and consultations.
