About the Artists


Born in USA, T. M. Hoffman has spent 40 years of his life in Asia. He has been trained in piano, Western music, Japanese flute shakuhachi (Yamaguchi Goro) and Hindustani vocal (Pdt Ganesh Prasad Mishra). Currently, he performs Indian classical music on shakuhachi and koto, and also sings and publishes in languages of a few Asian cultures. He has been performing throughout India, Japan, USA and Europe. He is now the Founder/director of Indo-Japanese Music Exchange Association. You can find out more about T M Hoffman at www.ijmea.com.


Born in 1964 into a highly cultured musical family of Bengal, Pradeep Chatterjee began his music education at the age of seven under his father late Pandit Amalesh Chatterjee, a very popular percussionist of his time from Farukhabad Gharana, and later came under guidance of his father's senior-most disciple Pandit Samir Chatterjee. Pradeep Chatterjee has established himself as a proficient tabla player, accompanying many leading musicians, both instrumental and vocal. He resides in Delhi since 1996, with frequent concerts in Delhi and abroad. A regular performer of Prasar Bharati, he has also long been associated with Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, Sangeet Bharati and Delhi Public School-Rohini.
