Zorba the Buddha invites you to a beautiful musical evening, a cinematic soundscape of the soul. This baithak with Tajdar Juanid will cross borders and languages, binding instruments like guiro and cajon from South America, frame drum and violin from India with charango from Bolivia creating sounds that are truly ethereal. The music is inspired from Indian classical music as well as improvised energetic jams. Tajdar will be accompanied by Charango on guitar and vocals, Bhaskar Dutta on Violin and Dwaipayan Saha on percussion and vocals. This evening will be an eclectic mix of culture and sounds which will surely uplift and enchant you!

About the Facilitator
Tajdar Junaid is a multi instrumentalist, composer and producer who released his debut album "What Colour Is Your Raindrop" in 2013, which was named album of the year by Rolling Stone magazine. Tajdar’s music has been featured in Academy Award winner Emma Thomson's film "Sold" and acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf's film "The President" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbMOfJzqTtk). He has also worked on Aparna Sen, Rituparno Ghosh and Anurag Kahsyap’s productions. He has recently also composed the song " Kahani Teri" for Amazon Kindle.
