An Evening of Sufi Music with Boom Shankar Project
Saturday, 18 July 2015
Zorba the Buddha is delighted to invite you to an evening of sublime Sufi music performed by Boom Shankar, this coming Saturday, 18th July. The evening will not be about playing music with set patterns, but more about going with the flow to create something different.
The music will have a taste of different forms of Sufi and folk music from across the globe, like Bhatiayali, Baul, Persian and Turkish. You will also sense a touch of Indian Classical music along with hints of Rock and Jazz... all in one evening! Come, groove to music inspired from the poetry of Sufi poets like Hazrat Amir Khusro, Baba Bullah Shah, Baba Fareed, and much, much more. This will, truly, be a night to cherish!
